Orca Bay Quilt

Author: admin

Orca Bay is another quilt pattern from Bonnie Hunter (she’s awesome!) at Quiltville.com. This one is couch-sized, about 60″x80″ and I used the batik Tonga Treats Spice Market fabric collection.

Lady of the Lake Quilt

Author: admin

This pattern is called Lady of the Lake. I’m making it for Stephan’s dad, my future Father-in-Law. It’s a King-sized quilt, so I had to lay it out on the livingroom floor because my design wall upstairs wasn’t big enough.

Desert Sky

Author: admin

Desert Sky is a pattern by Judy Niemeyer at Quiltworx.com.  I modified her pattern a bit to fit the dimensions that I wanted.  I used a Stonehenge fabric collection called Sonoma.  Still waiting to be quilted.  It hasn’t talked to me yet to tell me what it wants…  🙂

Celtic Solstice

Author: admin

Celtic Solstice is a pattern from Bonnie Hunter at Quiltville.com.   I use batiks for the colored fabrics and a white-on-white butterfly print for the white fabric.  I wasn’t sure I liked it as I was working on it because I thought the fabrics blended too much together.  Once I got it all done though, I really love it.  I have gotten many compliments on it as well.  Thank you, Bonnie, for another fantastic pattern!

Kitchen Wall Hanging

Author: admin

This is one of the first quilted items that I made for my home.  It’s a quilted wall hanging for the kitchen.  I also made matching curtains.   It’s a Carpenter’s Wheel pattern, very traditional.  My kitchen is done in a “modern-country” mixture of styles.  This fabric is a combination of Jacobean flowers and bandana-type fabrics.  Yes, I mixed them.   I’m nuts like that…

Smith Mountain Morning

Author: admin

This is a quilt that I made for my brother.  It is a Bonnie Hunter pattern from Quiltville.com.  I had him look at one of her books and pick out the pattern that he wanted, along with the color selections:  blue and brown.   I chose batik fabrics for this — Rockport Tonga batiks from Timeless Treasures.
